Oil on Canvas
30 × 48 × 1.5 inches
Edges finished in gold
—BECOMING LIMITLESS—
A journey through the end of self
Into union with pure love
Receiving life eternal
Through death’s door we overcome
Exchanging weakness for God’s strength
Learning in brokenness enough
Loaves multiplied to plenty
First were offered as broken crumbs
Yielding and unwinding
Undermining time’s pull and drive
Undoing years of lack and strife
First we wait and then we rise
I’ve learned to find God in the silence
In the still and in the dark
Through every fall He kept me
Seated high above in Christ
The only fall I’ve known
Was in my mind and in my pride
Broken free, not broken down
Perspective shifts through humble eyes
I’ve learned resilience and forgiveness
I found heaven’s supply in mercy’s cup
To reach the bottom but still to thirst is
An answered prayer from God above
Sometimes freedom comes through shaking
The ground breaking underneath
With groans too deep for words
Deep is crying out to deep
Spring up the wells of old
Spring up, oh fountains of the deep
With limitless abundance
Living waters flow now from within me
